Background Description: How Mindful Boston Uses Meetup for Class Scheduling
30 DAYS IN ADVANCE
Each semester, when our teachers are scheduled to lead our public classes, the registration details are listed on our meetup group thirty days in advance.
For example, the Meditation Toolbox course is usually scheduled for the fourth week of January. That means that the registration details are online by the fourth week of December. You will be able to register at that time. We do not have registrations more than 30 days before the start date.
Please note that if there is no event listed at our Meetup group, that means that our classes are already in session for this semester, and you will need to wait until next semester to register for the next round. Scroll up to the Calendar Framework to see the regular yearly (seasonal) schedule of semesters. And in the meantime, we do have some online offerings.
To help you in planning ahead to register for next semester, in addition to our calendar, there is also an "upcoming events" listing on Meetup itself. Just click on the button that says 'join us' - and you will get email announcements about new events automatically from the meetup software.
If it turns out that you are not getting the announcements, log into your Meetup account, click on 'my profile', and then click on 'email and notifications', and make sure that all the boxes are checked. Then also check your email's spam folder.
Q: Why use the meetup software?
A: WORK/LIFE BALANCE
Mindful Boston has staff, volunteers, and trainees who are trying to navigate offering classes to the public with the rest of their real life. To help us all with creating balanced lives, the Meetup software automates many administrative tasks.
