We use Meetup for all class registrations

Our studio is small and relies on volunteer administrative hours.  To simplify the administration process, we are using Meetup's calendar software for all of our registrations.  Thanks for using the Meetup page!

NO LISTINGS?

Please note that if there is no event listed at our Meetup group, that means that our classes are already in session for this semester, and you will need to wait until next semester to register for the next round.  Scroll down to the Calendar Framework to see the regular yearly (seasonal) schedule of semesters.  And in the meantime, we do have some online offerings

More Info is Here for you

The pages on this site give you background descriptions and calendar overviews

It is good to know that specific class times and dates for registrations are listed only at our Meetup group.  We keep it meticulously updated every semester.  Meetup is the only way to register for a specific class.    ...Register now

Overview of the yearly calendar of program offerings

Calendar Framework

The Mindful Boston calendar is made up of four seasonal quarters-  winter semester, spring semester, summer semester, and fall semester.

Every
Quarter

For the most basic of intros, there is at least one free Community Meditation Night per season/quarter.

As said elsewhere, register for all beginner level events at our Meetup Group.

Twice
Per Year

The Meditation Toolbox course offers a more structured introduction to what mindfulness is, and what mindfulness is not.  For 2018, the Toolbox will be offered in Cambridge during January and then in the spring.   We will be working on a summer Toolbox too, depending on location.

Once
Per Year

  • MBSR- the keystone of our training pathway.  Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, September.
  • Bypassing Burnout: retreat/learning day for office professionals offered in March.
  • Summer campfire retreat day on Cape Cod, July.

Bi-Yearly

  • Craftsman Level meditation teacher training
  • Journeyman Level meditation teacher training
  • All teacher trainings start in the fall, and graduations/certifications happen during our  Summer Retreat on Cape Cod.

For more detailed descriptions of each of the classes and retreats, visit our Program Description page.

Background Description: How Mindful Boston Uses Meetup for Class Scheduling

30 DAYS IN ADVANCE

Each semester, when our teachers are scheduled to lead our public classes, the registration details are listed on our meetup group thirty days in advance.
For example, the next Meditation Toolbox course will be scheduled for the forth week of January.  That means that the registration details will be up by the fourth week of December. You will be able to register at that time.  We do not have registrations more than 30 days before the start date.

MEETUP ANNOUNCEMENTS

To help you in planning ahead to register for next semester, in addition to our calendar, there is also an "upcoming events" listing on Meetup itself.  Just click on the button that says 'join us' - and you will get email announcements about new events automatically from the meetup software.

If it turns out that you are not getting the announcements, log into your Meetup account, click on 'my profile', and then click on 'email and notifications', and make sure that all the boxes are checked.  Then also check your email's spam folder.

Q: Why use the meetup software?
A: WORK/LIFE BALANCE

Mindful Boston has staff, volunteers, and trainees who are trying to navigate offering classes to the public with the rest of their real life.  To help us all with creating balanced lives, the Meetup software automates many administrative tasks.
