Mindful Boston’s Level 3 training, called MBLI, Mindfulness-Based Living with Intention, is an 9-session intensive classroom based very closely on the MBSR program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMass Medical School.
Format:
Nine Sundays. April 21st thru June 23rd. Next year: 2024
Eight of the classes are 2.5 hours long.
There is a all-day, seven hours long, silent retreat day during week seven. Class #8 is then for wrap-up and integration after the retreat day.
Intentions:
Each student builds a daily meditation practice with classroom guidance and “homework” recorded audio.
We engage fully as a group in a conversation about the pains and the joys of human life. Many of the classroom conversations are about changing a relationship to physical and emotional pain through the practice of mindfulness meditation.
