I’m too stressed out for stress reduction!
— Everybody These Days

1-Minute Mondays are simple:
Just stop, and breath. For one minute.

Use this guided audio. It’s designed to help you stop and breath.

1 Minute Mondays

If you need to stop, if you need to take a break, we get it.

Take a minute to stop and breath.  Mindful Boston members have made a commitment to Mondays at Noon.

Many members of our studio have decided on Noon as a good time, but choose any time you would like. And then, check in.

There are other options for using zoom to meditate with others online. This is the low-tech option. If you want the energy of knowing that other people are with you, we’re here.

Our meditation studio has a strategy for sustainable long-term practice:

  1. This month’s meditation is relevant.
Our teachers create monthly meditation themes based on the comments you submit using the check in form. This means that the webinar theme can address your most immediate meditation concerns.

  2. Regular breaks are built into Mindful Boston’s yearly calendar.
Our schedule follows natural cues for activity, work, play, and rest.

  3. Just one meditation theme per month.
Do the same meditation a couple of times each month so that you can experience a single topic more deeply.
Changing meditation topics too quickly might be more exciting, but meditation is not an entertainment.

If it gets boring, please know that you’re not the only one who has faced this. Post a comment in the Chat-Forum and we’ll talk it out, that’s how we help each other.

  4. Informal Practice.
There are informal ways to be mindful without having to do a formal meditation. Having a varied “diet” of meditation makes it more digestible when life gets too busy to sit down on a cushion.
